The Girl Who Loves Bugs is a story many parents can relate to. My own kid loves to “collect” friends and observe them. (We also have a bug graveyard, complete with headstones, in our front garden.)
Author Lily Murray’s rhythmic text is full of humor and is a delight to read aloud. Illustrator Jenny Løvlie’s energetic illustrations are full of movement and excitement. I can see this book being read on repeat. The publisher’s suggested age range is 4-8, but given the bouncy nature of the words and detailed pictures, I think kids as young as 3 will enjoy it.
