As strong as Demas’ text is, the illustrations are what’s going to entice people to buy Once There Was. Gemma Capdevila’s images are quite simply captivating. They’re the sort of thing you’d want to hang on the wall. Capdevila expertly captures Demas’ vision, making the entire book one to enjoy for years to come.
